In 1986 it was the first time on St. Vincent to subject the pigeons
to an overnight race. This was done with program pigeons and it became a
heavy St. Vincent race. They achieved a 68th National North position.
When finally coming home, this pigeon made such a big impression on me
that from that day I became an overnight racer.
In the years after we searched for suitable overnight pigeons and they
were found at Jo Hendriks Twello, Klaas Woord Urk, Herman Brinkman Tuk
and combination The Jong – Dekkers Lepelstraat, which formed the basis
for The Brinkman pigeons.
From 1995 our pigeons began to compete more strongly and several
National or Sector 4 victories were gained, for faster and heavier
overnight flights.

In 1994 we bought, with money from the sale of a late nest from Herman
Brinkman, three pigeons. From these pigeons, two became the father of a
stem pigeon ("De Bergerac" and "`t Fodsje") and one is used for
cultivation

looked in his youth like a rag and he seemed very foolish, but he always
came back home from the young pigeons flight and later he won six times
price of the seven inward-looking captive with the over night stay.
He flew himself directly as a one year on teletext, afterwards he has
been put on the cultivation with the next results.

“Burgemeester” is the only pigeon that sits on the ridge of the
house to watches, as a Mayor (burgermeester), over the other pigeons.
